| wayyō’mer yəhwāh ’el-mōšeh ’ĕmōr ’el-hakkōhănîm bənê ’ahărōn wə’āmarətā ’ălēhem lənep̱eš lō’-yiṭṭammā’ bə‘ammāyw | Lev 21:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people: |
| kî ’im-lišə’ērô haqqārōḇ ’ēlāyw lə’immô ûlə’āḇîw wəliḇənô ûləḇittô ûlə’āḥîw | Lev 21:2 But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother. |
| wəla’ăḥōṯô habbəṯûlāh haqqərôḇāh ’ēlāyw ’ăšer lō’-hāyəṯāh lə’îš lāhh yiṭṭammā’ | Lev 21:3 And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled. |
| lō’ lō’ yiṭṭammā’ yiṭṭammā’ ba‘al ba‘al bə‘ammāyw bə‘ammāyw ləhēḥallô ləhēḥallô | Lev 21:4 But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself. |

| qəḏōšîm yihəyû lē’lōhêhem wəlō’ yəḥalləlû šēm ’ĕlōhêhem kî ’eṯ-’iššê yəhwāh leḥem ’ĕlōhêhem hēm maqərîḇim wəhāyû qōḏeš | Lev 21:6 They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy. |

| ûḇaṯ ’îš kōhēn kî ṯēḥēl lizənôṯ ’eṯ-’āḇîhā hî’ məḥalleleṯ bā’ēš tiśśārēp̱ | Lev 21:9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire. |
| wəhakkōhēn haggāḏôl mē’eḥāyw ’ăšer-yûṣaq ‘al-rō’šô šemen hammišəḥāh ûmillē’ ’eṯ-yāḏô liləbōš ’eṯ-habbəg̱āḏîm ’eṯ-rō’šô lō’ yip̱ərā‘ ûḇəg̱āḏāyw lō’ yip̱ərōm | Lev 21:10 And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes; |
| wə‘al kāl-nap̱əšōṯ mēṯ lō’ yāḇō’ lə’āḇîw ûlə’immô lō’ yiṭṭammā’ | Lev 21:11 Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; |
| ûmin-hammiqədāš lō’ yēṣē’ wəlō’ yəḥallēl ’ēṯ miqədaš ’ĕlōhāyw kî nēzer šemen mišəḥaṯ ’ĕlōhāyw ‘ālāyw ’ănî yəhwāh | Lev 21:12 Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD. |
| wəhû’ ’iššāh ḇiḇəṯûleyhā yiqqāḥ | Lev 21:13 And he shall take a wife in her virginity. |

| dabbēr ’el-’ahărōn lē’mōr ’îš mizzarə‘ăḵā ləḏōrōṯām ’ăšer yihəyeh ḇô mûm lō’ yiqəraḇ ləhaqərîḇ leḥem ’ĕlōhāyw | Lev 21:17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. |

| kāl-’îš ’ăšer-bô mûm mizzera‘ ’ahărōn hakkōhēn lō’ yiggaš ləhaqərîḇ ’eṯ-’iššê yəhwāh mûm bô ’ēṯ leḥem ’ĕlōhāyw lō’ yiggaš ləhaqərîḇ | Lev 21:21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. |
| leḥem ’ĕlōhāyw miqqāḏəšê haqqŏḏāšîm ûmin-haqqŏḏāšîm yō’ḵēl | Lev 21:22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy. |
