וַיִּרְגַּ֣ז הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וַיַּ֛עַל עַל־עֲלִיַּ֥ת הַשַּׁ֖עַר וַיֵּ֑בְךְּ וְכֹ֣ה׀ אָמַ֣ר בְּלֶכְתֹּ֗ו בְּנִ֤י אַבְשָׁלֹום֙ בְּנִ֣י בְנִ֣י אַבְשָׁלֹ֔ום מִֽי־יִתֵּ֤ן מוּתִי֙ אֲנִ֣י תַחְתֶּ֔יךָ אַבְשָׁלֹ֖ום בְּנִ֥י בְנִֽי׃ | 2Sam 19:1 [KJV 18:33] And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son! |
וְהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ לָאַ֣ט אֶת־פָּנָ֔יו וַיִּזְעַ֥ק הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ קֹ֣ול גָּדֹ֑ול בְּנִי֙ אַבְשָׁלֹ֔ום אַבְשָׁלֹ֖ום בְּנִ֥י בְנִֽי׃ | 2Sam 19:5 [KJV 19:4] But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son! |
לְאַֽהֲבָה֙ אֶת־שֹׂ֣נְאֶ֔יךָ וְלִשְׂנֹ֖א אֶת־אֹהֲבֶ֑יךָ כִּ֣י׀ הִגַּ֣דְתָּ הַיֹּ֗ום כִּ֣י אֵ֤ין לְךָ֙ שָׂרִ֣ים וַעֲבָדִ֔ים כִּ֣י׀ יָדַ֣עְתִּי הַיֹּ֗ום כִּ֠י ל֣וּ אַבְשָׁלֹ֥ום חַי֙ וְכֻלָּ֤נוּ הַיֹּום֙ מֵתִ֔ים כִּי־אָ֖ז יָשָׁ֥ר בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ | 2Sam 19:7 [KJV 19:6] In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well. |
וַיְהִ֤י כָל־הָעָם֙ נָדֹ֔ון בְּכָל־שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ הִצִּילָ֣נוּ׀ מִכַּ֣ף אֹיְבֵ֗ינוּ וְה֤וּא מִלְּטָ֙נוּ֙ מִכַּ֣ף פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְעַתָּ֛ה בָּרַ֥ח מִן־הָאָ֖רֶץ מֵעַ֥ל אַבְשָׁלֹֽום׃ | 2Sam 19:10 [KJV 19:9] And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom. |
וְאַבְשָׁלֹום֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר מָשַׁ֣חְנוּ עָלֵ֔ינוּ מֵ֖ת בַּמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וְעַתָּ֗ה לָמָ֥ה אַתֶּ֛ם מַחֲרִשִׁ֖ים לְהָשִׁ֥יב אֶת־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ | 2Sam 19:11 [KJV 19:10] And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back? |
