səḇāḇunî ḇəḵaḥaš ’ep̱ərayim ûḇəmirəmāh bêṯ yiśərā’ēl wîhûḏāh ‘ōḏ rāḏ ‘im-’ēl wə‘im-qəḏôšîm ne’ĕmān | Hos 12:1 [KJV 11:12] Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints. |
’ep̱ərayim rō‘eh rûaḥ wərōḏēp̱ qāḏîm kāl-hayyôm kāzāḇ wāšōḏ yarəbeh ûḇərîṯ ‘im-’aššûr yiḵərōṯû wəšemen ləmiṣərayim yûḇāl | Hos 12:2 [KJV 12:1] Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt. |
wərîḇ layhwāh ‘im-yəhûḏāh wəlip̱əqōḏ ‘al-ya‘ăqōḇ kiḏərāḵāyw kəma‘ălālāyw yāšîḇ lô | Hos 12:3 [KJV 12:2] The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him. |
babbeṭen ‘āqaḇ ’eṯ-’āḥîw ûḇə’ônô śārāh ’eṯ-’ĕlōhîm | Hos 12:4 [KJV 12:3] He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: |
wāyyāśar ’el-malə’āḵ wayyuḵāl bāḵāh wayyiṯəḥannen-lô bêṯ-’ēl yiməṣā’ennû wəšām yəḏabbēr ‘immānû | Hos 12:5 [KJV 12:4] Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us; |
wayhwāh ’ĕlōhê haṣṣəḇā’ôṯ yəhwāh ziḵərô | Hos 12:6 [KJV 12:5] Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial. |
wə’attāh bē’lōheyḵā ṯāšûḇ ḥeseḏ ûmišəpāṭ šəmōr wəqawwēh ’el-’ĕlōheyḵā tāmîḏ | Hos 12:7 [KJV 12:6] Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually. |
kəna‘an bəyāḏô mō’zənê mirəmāh la‘ăšōq ’āhēḇ | Hos 12:8 [KJV 12:7] He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress. |
wayyō’mer ’ep̱ərayim ’aḵ ‘āšarətî māṣā’ṯî ’ôn lî kāl-yəg̱î‘ay lō’ yiməṣə’û-lî ‘āwōn ’ăšer-ḥēṭə’ | Hos 12:9 [KJV 12:8] And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin. |
wə’ānōḵî yəhwāh ’ĕlōheyḵā mē’ereṣ miṣərāyim ‘ōḏ ’ôšîḇəḵā ḇā’ŏhālîm kîmê mô‘ēḏ | Hos 12:10 [KJV 12:9] And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast. |
wəḏibbarətî ‘al-hannəḇî’îm wə’ānōḵî ḥāzôn hirəbêṯî ûḇəyaḏ hannəḇî’îm ’ăḏammeh | Hos 12:11 [KJV 12:10] I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets. |
’im-gilə‘āḏ ’āwen ’aḵ-šāwə’ hāyû baggiləgāl šəwārîm zibbēḥû gam mizəbəḥôṯām kəg̱allîm ‘al taləmê śāḏāy | Hos 12:12 [KJV 12:11] Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields. |
wayyiḇəraḥ ya‘ăqōḇ śəḏēh ’ărām wayya‘ăḇōḏ yiśərā’ēl bə’iššāh ûḇə’iššāh šāmār | Hos 12:13 [KJV 12:12] And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep. |
ûḇənāḇî’ he‘ĕlāh yəhwāh ’eṯ-yiśərā’ēl mimmiṣərāyim ûḇənāḇî’ nišəmār | Hos 12:14 [KJV 12:13] And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. |
hiḵə‘îs ’ep̱ərayim tamərûrîm wəḏāmāyw ‘ālāyw yiṭṭôš wəḥerəpāṯô yāšîḇ lô ’ăḏōnāyw | Hos 12:15 [KJV 12:14] Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return unto him. |
