Gen 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

wə’ettənāh ḇərîṯî bênî ûḇêneḵā wə’arəbeh ’ôṯəḵā bimə’ōḏ mə’ōḏ

Gen 17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

wayyippōl ’aḇərām ‘al-pānāyw wayəḏabbēr ’ittô ’ĕlōhîm lē’mōr

Gen 17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

’ănî hinnēh ḇərîṯî ’ittāḵ wəhāyîṯā lə’aḇ hămôn gôyim

Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

wəlō’-yiqqārē’ ‘ôḏ ’eṯ-šiməḵā ’aḇərām wəhāyāh šiməḵā ’aḇərāhām kî ’aḇ-hămôn gôyim nəṯattîḵā

Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

wəhip̱ərēṯî ’ōṯəḵā bimə’ōḏ mə’ōḏ ûnəṯattîḵā ləg̱ôyim ûməlāḵîm mimməḵā yēṣē’û

Gen 17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

wahăqimōṯî ’eṯ-bərîṯî bênî ûḇêneḵā ûḇên zarə‘ăḵā ’aḥăreyḵā ləḏōrōṯām liḇərîṯ ‘ôlām lihəyôṯ ləḵā lē’lōhîm ûləzarə‘ăḵā ’aḥăreyḵā

Gen 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

wənāṯattî ləḵā ûləzarə‘ăḵā ’aḥăreyḵā ’ēṯ ’ereṣ məg̱ureyḵā ’ēṯ kāl-’ereṣ kəna‘an la’ăḥuzzaṯ ‘ôlām wəhāyîṯî lāhem lē’lōhîm

Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

wayyō’mer ’ĕlōhîm ’el-’aḇərāhām wə’attāh ’eṯ-bərîṯî ṯišəmōr ’attāh wəzarə‘ăḵā ’aḥăreyḵā ləḏōrōṯām

Gen 17:9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

zō’ṯ bərîṯî ’ăšer tišəmərû bênî ûḇênêḵem ûḇên zarə‘ăḵā ’aḥăreyḵā himmôl lāḵem kāl-zāḵār

Gen 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

ûnəmalətem ’ēṯ bəśar ‘ārəlaṯəḵem wəhāyāh lə’ôṯ bərîṯ bênî ûḇênêḵem

Gen 17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

ûḇen-šəmōnaṯ yāmîm yimmôl lāḵem kāl-zāḵār ləḏōrōṯêḵem yəlîḏ bāyiṯ ûmiqənaṯ-kesep̱ mikkōl ben-nēḵār ’ăšer lō’ mizzarə‘ăḵā hû’

Gen 17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

himmôl yimmôl yəlîḏ bêṯəḵā ûmiqənaṯ kasəpeḵā wəhāyəṯāh ḇərîṯî biḇəśarəḵem liḇərîṯ ‘ôlām

Gen 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

wə‘ārēl zāḵār ’ăšer lō’-yimmôl ’eṯ-bəśar ‘ārəlāṯô wəniḵərəṯāh hannep̱eš hahiw’ mē‘ammeyhā ’eṯ-bərîṯî hēp̱ar

Gen 17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

wayyō’mer ’ĕlōhîm ’el-’aḇərāhām śāray ’išətəḵā lō’-ṯiqərā’ ’eṯ-šəmāhh śārāy kî śārāh šəmāhh

Gen 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

ûḇēraḵətî ’ōṯāhh wəg̱am nāṯattî mimmennāh ləḵā bēn ûḇēraḵətîhā wəhāyəṯāh ləg̱ôyim maləḵê ‘ammîm mimmennāh yihəyû

Gen 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

wayyippōl ’aḇərāhām ‘al-pānāyw wayyiṣəḥāq wayyō’mer bəlibbô halləḇen mē’āh-šānāh yiwwālēḏ wə’im-śārāh hăḇaṯ-tišə‘îm šānāh tēlēḏ

Gen 17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

wayyō’mer ’aḇərāhām ’el-hā’ĕlōhîm lû yišəmā‘ē’l yiḥəyeh ləp̱āneyḵā

Gen 17:18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

wayyō’mer ’ĕlōhîm ’ăḇāl śārāh ’išətəḵā yōleḏeṯ ləḵā bēn wəqārā’ṯā ’eṯ-šəmô yiṣəḥāq wahăqimōṯî ’eṯ-bərîṯî ’ittô liḇərîṯ ‘ôlām ləzarə‘ô ’aḥărāyw

Gen 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

ûləyišəmā‘ē’l šəma‘ətîḵā hinnēh bēraḵətî ’ōṯô wəhip̱ərêṯî ’ōṯô wəhirəbêṯî ’ōṯô bimə’ōḏ mə’ōḏ šənêm-‘āśār nəśî’im yôlîḏ ûnəṯattîw ləg̱ôy gāḏôl

Gen 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

wə’eṯ-bərîṯî ’āqîm ’eṯ-yiṣəḥāq ’ăšer tēlēḏ ləḵā śārāh lammô‘ēḏ hazzeh baššānāh hā’aḥereṯ

Gen 17:21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

wayəḵal ləḏabbēr ’ittô wayya‘al ’ĕlōhîm mē‘al ’aḇərāhām

Gen 17:22 And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

wayyiqqaḥ ’aḇərāhām ’eṯ-yišəmā‘ē’l bənô wə’ēṯ kāl-yəlîḏê ḇêṯô wə’ēṯ kāl-miqənaṯ kasəpô kāl-zāḵār bə’anəšê bêṯ ’aḇərāhām wayyāmāl ’eṯ-bəśar ‘ārəlāṯām bə‘eṣem hayyôm hazzeh ka’ăšer dibber ’ittô ’ĕlōhîm

Gen 17:23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

wə’aḇərāhām ben-tišə‘îm wāṯēša‘ šānāh bəhimmōlô bəśar ‘ārəlāṯô

Gen 17:24 And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

wəyišəmā‘ē’l bənô ben-šəlōš ‘eśərēh šānāh bəhimmōlô ’ēṯ bəśar ‘ārəlāṯô

Gen 17:25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

bə‘eṣem hayyôm hazzeh nimmôl ’aḇərāhām wəyišəmā‘ē’l bənô

Gen 17:26 In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

wəḵāl-’anəšê ḇêṯô yəlîḏ bāyiṯ ûmiqənaṯ-kesep̱ mē’ēṯ ben-nēḵār nimmōlû ’ittô

Gen 17:27 And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
