wayəman yəhwāh dāg̱ gāḏôl liḇəlōa‘ ’eṯ-yônāh wayəhî yônāh bimə‘ê haddāg̱ šəlōšāh yāmîm ûšəlōšāh lêlôṯ Jonah 2:1 [KJV 1:17] Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
wayyiṯəpallēl yônāh ’el-yəhwāh ’ĕlōhāyw mimmə‘ê haddāg̱āh Jonah 2:2 [KJV 2:1] Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
wayyō’mer qārā’ṯî miṣṣārāh ’el-yəhwāh wayya‘ănēnî mibbeṭen šə’ôl šiwwa‘ətî šāma‘ətā qôlî Jonah 2:3 [KJV 2:2] And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
wattašəlîḵēnî məṣûlāh biləḇaḇ yammîm wənāhār yəsōḇəḇēnî kāl-mišəbāreyḵā wəg̱alleyḵā ‘ālay ‘āḇārû Jonah 2:4 [KJV 2:3] For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
wa’ănî ’āmarətî nig̱ərašətî minneg̱eḏ ‘êneyḵā ’aḵ ’ôsîp̱ ləhabbîṭ ’el-hêḵal qāḏəšeḵā Jonah 2:5 [KJV 2:4] Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
’ăp̱āp̱ûnî mayim ‘aḏ-nep̱eš təhôm yəsōḇəḇēnî sûp̱ ḥāḇûš lərō’šî Jonah 2:6 [KJV 2:5] The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
ləqiṣəḇê hārîm yāraḏətî hā’āreṣ bəriḥeyhā ḇa‘ăḏî lə‘ôlām watta‘al miššaḥaṯ ḥayyay yəhwāh ’ĕlōhāy Jonah 2:7 [KJV 2:6] I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
bəhiṯə‘aṭṭēp̱ ‘ālay nap̱əšî ’eṯ-yəhwāh zāḵārətî wattāḇô’ ’ēleyḵā təp̱illāṯî ’el-hêḵal qāḏəšeḵā Jonah 2:8 [KJV 2:7] When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
məšammərîm haḇəlê-šāwə’ ḥasədām ya‘ăzōḇû Jonah 2:9 [KJV 2:8] They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
wa’ănî bəqôl tôḏāh ’ezəbəḥāh-llāḵ ’ăšer nāḏarətî ’ăšallēmāh yəšû‘āṯāh layhwāh Jonah 2:10 [KJV 2:9] But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
wayyō’mer yəhwāh laddāg̱ wayyāqē’ ’eṯ-yônāh ’el-hayyabbāšāh Jonah 2:11 [KJV 2:10] And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
