| ויקם אלישיב הכהן הגדול ואחיו הכהנים ויבנו את־שער הצאן המה קדשוהו ויעמידו דלתתיו ועד־מגדל המאה קדשוהו עד מגדל חננאל׃ | Neh 3:1 Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel. |
| ועל־ידו בנו אנשי ירחו ועל־ידו בנה זכור בן־אמרי׃ | Neh 3:2 And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri. |
| ואת שער הדגים בנו בני הסנאה המה קרוהו ויעמידו דלתתיו מנעוליו ובריחיו׃ | Neh 3:3 But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. |
| ועל־ידם החזיק מרמות בן־אוריה בן־הקוץ ועל־ידם החזיק משלם בן־ברכיה בן־משיזבאל ועל־ידם החזיק צדוק בן־בענא׃ | Neh 3:4 And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana. |
| ועל־ידם החזיקו התקועים ואדיריהם לא־הביאו צורם בעבדת אדניהם׃ | Neh 3:5 And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their LORD. |
| ואת שער הישנה החזיקו יוידע בן־פסח ומשלם בן־בסודיה המה קרוהו ויעמידו דלתתיו ומנעליו ובריחיו׃ | Neh 3:6 Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. |
| ועל־ידם החזיק מלטיה הגבעני וידון המרנתי אנשי גבעון והמצפה לכסא פחת עבר הנהר׃ | Neh 3:7 And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river. |
| על־ידו החזיק עזיאל בן־חרהיה צורפים ועל־ידו החזיק חנניה בן־הרקחים ויעזבו ירושלם עד החומה הרחבה׃ | Neh 3:8 Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall. |
| ועל־ידם החזיק רפיה בן־חור שר חצי פלך ירושלם׃ | Neh 3:9 And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem. |
| ועל־ידם החזיק ידיה בן־חרומף ונגד ביתו ועל־ידו החזיק חטוש בן־חשבניה׃ | Neh 3:10 And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabniah. |
| מדה שנית החזיק מלכיה בן־חרם וחשוב בן־פחת מואב ואת מגדל התנורים׃ | Neh 3:11 Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired the other piece, and the tower of the furnaces. |
| ועל־ידו החזיק שלום בן־הלוחש שר חצי פלך ירושלם הוא ובנותיו׃ | Neh 3:12 And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters. |
| את שער הגיא החזיק חנון וישבי זנוח המה בנוהו ויעמידו דלתתיו מנעליו ובריחיו ואלף אמה בחומה עד שער השפות׃ | Neh 3:13 The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits on the wall unto the dung gate. |
| ואת׀ שער האשפות החזיק מלכיה בן־רכב שר פלך בית־הכרם הוא יבננו ויעמיד דלתתיו מנעליו ובריחיו׃ | Neh 3:14 But the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of Bethhaccerem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. |
| ואת שער העין החזיק שלון בן־כל־חזה שר פלך המצפה הוא יבננו ויטללנו ויעמיד דלתתיו מנעליו ובריחיו ואת חומת ברכת השלח לגן־המלך ועד־המעלות היורדות מעיר דויד׃ | Neh 3:15 But the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the king's garden, and unto the stairs that go down from the city of David. |
| אחריו החזיק נחמיה בן־עזבוק שר חצי פלך בית־צור עד־נגד קברי דויד ועד־הברכה העשויה ועד בית הגברים׃ | Neh 3:16 After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Bethzur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and to the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty. |
| אחריו החזיקו הלוים רחום בן־בני על־ידו החזיק חשביה שר־חצי־פלך קעילה לפלכו׃ | Neh 3:17 After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of the half part of Keilah, in his part. |
| אחריו החזיקו אחיהם בוי בן־חנדד שר חצי פלך קעילה׃ | Neh 3:18 After him repaired their brethren, Bavai the son of Henadad, the ruler of the half part of Keilah. |
| ויחזק על־ידו עזר בן־ישוע שר המצפה מדה שנית מנגד עלת הנשק המקצע׃ | Neh 3:19 And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another piece over against the going up to the armoury at the turning of the wall. |
| אחריו אחריו החרה החרה החזיק החזיק ברוך ברוך זכי בן־מדה זכי מדה שנית שנית מן־מן־המקצוע המקצוע עד־פתח עד־בית פתח בית אלישיב אלישיב הכהן הכהן הגדול׃ הגדול׃ | Neh 3:20 After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired the other piece, from the turning of the wall unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest. |
| אחריו החזיק מרמות בן־אוריה בן־הקוץ מדה שנית מפתח בית אלישיב ועד־תכלית בית אלישיב׃ | Neh 3:21 After him repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah the son of Koz another piece, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib. |
| ואחריו החזיקו הכהנים אנשי הככר׃ | Neh 3:22 And after him repaired the priests, the men of the plain. |
| אחריו החזיק בנימן וחשוב נגד ביתם אחריו החזיק עזריה בן־מעשיה בן־ענניה אצל ביתו׃ | Neh 3:23 After him repaired Benjamin and Hashub over against their house. After him repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah by his house. |

| פלל בן־אוזי מנגד המקצוע והמגדל היוצא מבית המלך העליון אשר לחצר המטרה אחריו פדיה בן־פרעש׃ | Neh 3:25 Palal the son of Uzai, over against the turning of the wall, and the tower which lieth out from the king's high house, that was by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh. |
| והנתינים היו ישבים בעפל עד נגד שער המים למזרח והמגדל היוצא׃ | Neh 3:26 Moreover the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that lieth out. |
| אחריו החזיקו התקעים מדה שנית מנגד המגדל הגדול היוצא ועד חומת העפל׃ | Neh 3:27 After them the Tekoites repaired another piece, over against the great tower that lieth out, even unto the wall of Ophel. |
| מעל׀ שער הסוסים החזיקו הכהנים איש לנגד ביתו׃ | Neh 3:28 From above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one over against his house. |
| אחריו החזיק צדוק בן־אמר נגד ביתו ואחריו החזיק שמעיה בן־שכניה שמר שער המזרח׃ | Neh 3:29 After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his house. After him repaired also Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate. |
| אחריו החזיק חנניה בן־שלמיה וחנון בן־צלף הששי מדה שני אחריו החזיק משלם בן־ברכיה נגד נשכתו׃ | Neh 3:30 After him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another piece. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah over against his chamber. |
| אחריו החזיק מלכיה בן־הצרפי עד־בית הנתינים והרכלים נגד שער המפקד ועד עלית הפנה׃ | Neh 3:31 After him repaired Malchiah the goldsmith's son unto the place of the Nethinims, and of the merchants, over against the gate Miphkad, and to the going up of the corner. |
| ובין עלית הפנה לשער הצאן החזיקו הצרפים והרכלים׃ | Neh 3:32 And between the going up of the corner unto the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants. |
| ויהי כאשר שמע סנבלט כי־אנחנו בונים את־החומה ויחר לו ויכעס הרבה וילעג על־היהודים׃ | Neh 3:33 [KJV 4:1] But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews. |
| ויאמר׀ לפני אחיו וחיל שמרון ויאמר מה היהודים האמללים עשים היעזבו להם היזבחו היכלו ביום היחיו את־האבנים מערמות העפר והמה שרופות׃ | Neh 3:34 [KJV 4:2] And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? |
| וטוביה העמני אצלו ויאמר גם אשר־הם בונים אם־יעלה שועל ופרץ חומת אבניהם׃ | Neh 3:35 [KJV 4:3] Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. |
| שמע אלהינו כי־היינו בוזה והשב חרפתם אל־ראשם ותנם לבזה בארץ שביה׃ | Neh 3:36 [KJV 4:4] Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: |
| ואל־תכס על־עונם וחטאתם מלפניך אל־תמחה כי הכעיסו לנגד הבונים׃ | Neh 3:37 [KJV 4:5] And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders. |
| ונבנה את־החומה ותקשר כל־החומה עד־חציה ויהי לב לעם לעשות׃ | Neh 3:38 [KJV 4:6] So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. |
