| וידב֥ר יהו֖ה אל־מש֥ה לאמֽר׃ | Num 17:1 [KJV 16:36] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, |
| אמ֨ר אל־אלעז֜ר בן־אהר֣ן הכה֗ן ויר֤ם את־המחתת֙ מב֣ין השרפ֔ה ואת־הא֖ש זרה־ה֑לאה כ֖י קדֽשו׃ | Num 17:2 [KJV 16:37] Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed. |
| א֡ת מחתות֩ הֽחטא֨ים הא֜לה בנפשת֗ם ועש֨ו את֜ם רקע֤י פחים֙ צפ֣וי למזב֔ח כֽי־הקריב֥ם לפנֽי־יהו֖ה ויקד֑שו ויֽהי֥ו לא֖ות לבנ֥י ישראֽל׃ | Num 17:3 [KJV 16:38] The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel. |
| ויק֞ח אלעז֣ר הכה֗ן א֚ת מחת֣ות הנח֔שת אש֥ר הקר֖יבו השרפ֑ים וֽירקע֖ום צפ֥וי למזבֽח׃ | Num 17:4 [KJV 16:39] And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar: |
| זכר֞ון לבנ֣י ישרא֗ל ל֠מען אש֨ר לֽא־יקר֜ב א֣יש ז֗ר א֠שר ל֣א מז֤רע אהרן֙ ה֔וא להקט֥יר קט֖רת לפנ֣י יהו֑ה ולֽא־יהי֤ה כק֙רח֙ וכ֣עדת֔ו כאש֨ר דב֧ר יהו֛ה ביד־מש֖ה לֽו׃ | Num 17:5 [KJV 16:40] To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses. |
| ויל֜נו כל־עד֤ת בנֽי־ישראל֙ מֽמחר֔ת על־מש֥ה ועֽל־אהר֖ן לאמ֑ר את֥ם המת֖ם את־ע֥ם יהוֽה׃ | Num 17:6 [KJV 16:41] But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD. |
| ויה֗י בהקה֤ל הֽעדה֙ על־מש֣ה ועֽל־אהר֔ן ויפנו֙ אל־א֣הל מוע֔ד והנ֥ה כס֖הו הענ֑ן ויר֖א כב֥וד יהוֽה׃ | Num 17:7 [KJV 16:42] And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared. |
| ויב֤א משה֙ ואהר֔ן אל־פנ֖י א֥הל מועֽד׃ | Num 17:8 [KJV 16:43] And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. |
| וידב֥ר יהו֖ה אל־מש֥ה לאמֽר׃ | Num 17:9 [KJV 16:44] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, |
| הר֗מו מתוך֙ העד֣ה הז֔את ואכל֥ה את֖ם כר֑גע וֽיפל֖ו על־פניהֽם׃ | Num 17:10 [KJV 16:45] Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces. |
| וי֨אמר מש֜ה אֽל־אהר֗ן ק֣ח את־ה֠מחתה ותן־על֨יה א֜ש מע֤ל המזב֙ח֙ וש֣ים קט֔רת והול֧ך מהר֛ה אל־העד֖ה וכפ֣ר עליה֑ם כֽי־יצ֥א הק֛צף מלפנ֥י יהו֖ה הח֥ל הנֽגף׃ | Num 17:11 [KJV 16:46] And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun. |
| ויק֨ח אהר֜ן כאש֣ר׀ דב֣ר מש֗ה וי֙רץ֙ אל־ת֣וך הקה֔ל והנ֛ה הח֥ל הנ֖גף בע֑ם ויתן֙ אֽת־הקט֔רת ויכפ֖ר על־העֽם׃ | Num 17:12 [KJV 16:47] And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. |
| ויעמ֥ד בֽין־המת֖ים וב֣ין הֽחי֑ים ותעצ֖ר המגפֽה׃ | Num 17:13 [KJV 16:48] And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. |
| ויהי֗ו המתים֙ במגפ֔ה ארבע֥ה עש֛ר א֖לף ושב֣ע מא֑ות מלב֥ד המת֖ים על־דבר־קֽרח׃ | Num 17:14 [KJV 16:49] Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah. |
| וי֤שב אהרן֙ אל־מש֔ה אל־פ֖תח א֣הל מוע֑ד והמגפ֖ה נעצֽרה׃ | Num 17:15 [KJV 16:50] And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed. |
| וידב֥ר יהו֖ה אל־מש֥ה לאמֽר׃ | Num 17:16 [KJV 17:1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, |
| דב֣ר׀ אל־בנ֣י ישרא֗ל וק֣ח מֽאת֡ם מט֣ה מטה֩ לב֨ית א֜ב מא֤ת כל־נשֽיאהם֙ לב֣ית אבת֔ם שנ֥ים עש֖ר מט֑ות א֣יש את־שמ֔ו תכת֖ב על־מטֽהו׃ | Num 17:17 [KJV 17:2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod. |
| ואת֙ ש֣ם אהר֔ן תכת֖ב על־מט֣ה לו֑י כ֚י מט֣ה אח֔ד לר֖אש ב֥ית אבותֽם׃ | Num 17:18 [KJV 17:3] And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers. |
| והנחת֖ם בא֣הל מוע֑ד לפני֙ הֽעד֔ות אש֛ר אוע֥ד לכ֖ם שֽמה׃ | Num 17:19 [KJV 17:4] And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you. |
| והי֗ה הא֛יש אש֥ר אבחר־ב֖ו מט֣הו יפר֑ח והשכת֣י מֽעל֗י את־תלנות֙ בנ֣י ישרא֔ל אש֛ר ה֥ם מלינ֖ם עליכֽם׃ | Num 17:20 [KJV 17:5] And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you. |
| וידב֨ר מש֜ה אל־בנ֣י ישרא֗ל ויתנ֣ו אל֣יו׀ כֽל־נשֽיאיה֡ם מטה֩ לנש֨יא אח֜ד מט֨ה לנש֤יא אחד֙ לב֣ית אבת֔ם שנ֥ים עש֖ר מט֑ות ומט֥ה אהר֖ן בת֥וך מטותֽם׃ | Num 17:21 [KJV 17:6] And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods. |
| וינ֥ח מש֛ה את־המט֖ת לפנ֣י יהו֑ה בא֖הל העדֽת׃ | Num 17:22 [KJV 17:7] And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness. |
| ויה֣י מֽמחר֗ת ויב֤א משה֙ אל־א֣הל העד֔ות והנ֛ה פר֥ח מטֽה־אהר֖ן לב֣ית לו֑י וי֤צֽא פ֙רח֙ וי֣צֽץ צ֔יץ ויגמ֖ל שקדֽים׃ | Num 17:23 [KJV 17:8] And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. |
| ויצ֨א מש֤ה את־כל־המטת֙ מלפנ֣י יהו֔ה אֽל־כל־בנ֖י ישרא֑ל וירא֥ו ויקח֖ו א֥יש מטֽהו׃ | Num 17:24 [KJV 17:9] And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod. |
| וי֨אמר יהו֜ה אל־מש֗ה הש֞ב את־מט֤ה אהרן֙ לפנ֣י העד֔ות למשמ֥רת לא֖ות לבני־מ֑רי ותכ֧ל תלונת֛ם מעל֖י ול֥א ימֽתו׃ | Num 17:25 [KJV 17:10] And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not. |
| וי֖עש מש֑ה כאש֨ר צו֧ה יהו֛ה את֖ו כ֥ן עשֽה׃ | Num 17:26 [KJV 17:11] And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he. |
| ויֽאמרו֙ בנ֣י ישרא֔ל אל־מש֖ה לאמ֑ר ה֥ן גו֛ענו אב֖דנו כל֥נו אבֽדנו׃ | Num 17:27 [KJV 17:12] And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish. |
| כ֣ל הקר֧ב׀ הקר֛ב אל־משכ֥ן יהו֖ה ימ֑ות הא֥ם ת֖מנו לגוֽע׃ | Num 17:28 [KJV 17:13] Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying? |
